Michael
& Tilly have been married for 18
years and have a daughter Shar-ron (19) and son
Christopher (15).
Michael has always had a keen
interest in photography and
bought his first camera while in
High School.
Photography got serious for him
after 1990, he bought his first
professional camera while
visiting Taiwan.
Still in the Navy he was
"utilised" as a photographer and
had many of his pictures
published in magazines and
newspapers.
One
of the last trips he did with
the SA Navy was to the
Antarctica where he also made a
video of the trip. His
photographs of that trip were
widely used, even on the
Admirals Christmas card.
In
1995 Michael left the Navy and
bought The Photoshop in Hout
Bay, he renamed it Photo Cabin.
Tilly scaled down her nursing
commitments and worked with him
in the photo lab. She looked
after the equipment and ensured
that a high standard of colour
printing was maintained.
During this time, Tilly
developed her photographic
skills and was commissioned to
photograph many functions. Some
of her photographs have also
been widely published in
Magazines.
In
2002 they sold Photo Cabin.
Michael continued in the digital
photographic industry for a
while, later concentrating on
digital video. Since 2003 he has
been professionally editing
videos on his computer system
and producing DVD's of a high
quality for videographers.
It
is this experience in the image
capturing business that Tilly
and Michael will bring to your
function, combined with their
personal touch. |
